After 4 months of negotiation, adjustments, proposals and pure determination Legends Sport became the only company worldwide to be granted a license by the International Rugby Board to manufacture and sell replicas of the Webb Ellis Trophy.   We started developing this product (one of our best products to date) 2 days after the World Cup Final. As we could not take the trophy home, everything had to be done from 150 photographs taken from different angles of the  Webb Ellis Cup.It took 3 days to get the exact shape and dimensions of the Trophy.  The sculpting of the two handles and  pineapple on top of the lid was a process lasting 10 days, with the final sculpting of the cup taking more than 4 weeks to complete. The whole process took 6-weeks to complete the cup. Due to the curved shape of the trophy, the engraving on the Cup had to be done by hand, a process that took a full day.  The replicas are all displayed in detailed frames stating the results of the Springboks' run-up to their second Rugby World Cup title and a short descriptions of players such as Bryan Habana (top try scorer), Victor Matfield, Percy Montgomery (most points in the Tournament), Francois Steyn, Os du Randt, captain John Smit and coach Jake White.A limited edition of 500 frames were produced, 300 in Afrikaans and 200 in English. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each frame.
